She was so Happy!
We went out to dinner at the restaurant that both my parents worked at during high school.
so quaint.

Then we dove from Beech Grove to Anderson Indiana.

Chris's  dad, step mom, and half siblings were waiting for us at the Hotel.

But wait.......

Chris saw the sign for
White Castle
you would have thought the Heavens had parted!
He was so excited.
quick detour to grab a late night snack

check out his awesome parking job.
Geesh, who knew
"little golden goblets of Love"

How awesome to have your birth parents as part of your lives! They are so darn cute too (and so are your grandparents). The turkey legs make me think of my mom - that was what she craved when she was pregnant with me! Total diversion - you have the darn cutest wardrobe ever!

I'm on my way to Indy this week too, I grew up in Anderson/Pendleton and still have family there. My aunt lives in Beech Grove.

Your birth mom looks so happy to see you all. I hope it was a wonderful trip!

Jessi,

How wonderful that you have found and been able to develop such a wonderful relationship with your birth mom and dad. I found my birth mom about 5 years ago and she & her husband are now a huge part of my and my families lives. It sounds like you had a great time in Indiana!

Hugs,

Sue

Hey Jessi,
As I read your post it brought back so many memories. My husband found his birth family 12 years ago. I remember the wonderful but awkward visits we had when first meeting family members. We are from Indiana but never attended the 500 yet. I have also had dinner on the river boat you took a picture.
