Wonderfully WICKED!

It's a WICKED Saturday!
Early in the morning!


Very early!

I've been up since 5:30 am!
so excited!

leaving at 7:15 am
to the airport!


we arrived in Chicago about 10:15

we had some time before lunch

so we stopped and had a cup of Joe
at our favorite coffee spot!
(CARIBOU)

11:00 am
Lunchtime!


We had lunch at the famous

The Italian Village!

AWESOME!!!


1927
so charming. it is over 80
years old! Al Capone used to be a regular!

The Food was incredible!

Appetizer: "Beef Carpaccio"
YUM!!!
Lunch: "Lasagne al forno"

Sinful!!!


Dessert: Spumoni & coffee:


It was all so delish!!!

we rolled out of there!

Wonderful!

Off to the show!





The Ford theatre was stunning!!!

"Galinda"
adorable, so funny & goofy!
"Elphaba"
enchanting, witty & brave!

It was AMAZING!!!!!


i didn't want to leave!
i wanted to stay and get
tickets for the 8:00pm show.
We will definitely be
returning to see this again,
with the kids!

IT ROCKED!!!!

returned home about 8:30!

Hey girl, I see you were in my neck of the woods! What a great trip your hubby planned. I just love the Italian Village ~ it is such a charming restaurant! And wasn't Wicked wonderful? We saw it last year and I loved every minute of it. So glad you were able to take this trip!!!

i went to the village restaurant too .. a work lunch it was. The upper restaurant is much better than the lower one .. the lower one has crappy service .. but nice picture all over. Glad you liked the town.
